
Plastic free BBQ!
Since we first started Jerk Off bbq we’ve always been conscientious of our waste and making sure we’re not adding to the dangerously increasing amounts of plastic being sent to landfill adding toxins to our environments and ending up in our oceans; that’s why we made sure to source the right food suppliers and stock all plastic free packaging.
You might have seen in person, online, or through a friend that Penzance in Cornwall is on the way to gaining ‘Plastic Free’ status. You might even live in a town that’s going the same way and we couldn’t be happier. Heleena, one half of Jerk Off BBQ, has a close connection to this town and we now feel inspired to share what we’re already doing and how we hope to progress even further.
So here’s some of the food we’ve been doing so far: We use food boxes made out of sugarcane and wooden cutlery which is not only plastic free and recyclable but biodegradable from vegware. We don’t buy and products in plastic packaging and we even try to grown as much produce as we can (in summer).
